Another spotlight on one of our fabulous volunteers – today it’s Lisa who goes out of her way to help us most weeks by collecting donations left at Stanwells Pet Styling, collecting and dropping off fruit, vegetables and other donations collected from her business clients and friends, and generally helping us whenever she can however she can. Lisa illustrates the importance to us of volunteers who help outside of the sanctuary.
Lisa says: ‘I am completely smitten with Cecil (*our young ram*), and I must be a strong contender as his biggest fan. I also love Tilly (*one of our Yorkshire Terriers*) and Clyde (*a recent lovebird addition*), who I take a peek at in the aviary every week.
Although I am not a hands-on volunteer I am always happy to check Stanwells for donated supplies and to think of little ways to help the sanctuary. That’s because I’m a big animal fan with rescue dogs of my own.
Cecil spending time with me last week is always a memory I will treasure and hope he wants to do it again. My funniest memory is seeing the upturned bucket move across the drive; Peter removed it and revealed a chicken!’
Lisa, thank you so much for all your support. It means the world.
